A group of visitors from the Glion Institute of Higher Education (Academic Dean Christian Daujat and Expert for Academic Activities Juliana Tokareva) visited NCFU.

The visit was arranged in order to discuss a joint academic programme in Tourism and Hospitality Management, and the foreign guests had a meeting with First Pro-Rector Dmitry Sumskoy as well as joined a meeting on training staff to be employed at the JSC Resorts of North Caucasus.

Mr. Sumskoy introduced the visitors into the NCFU structure and invited them to cooperate as the Russian partners are looking forward to learning from Swiss experts and improve the services offered at tourist sites. NCFU has already done the first important steps in this area and signed agreements with the leading European Universities, subject to which several NCFU graduates and postgraduates have already started their training abroad.

During the meetings held with the representatives of Glion the discussion went around the task that NCFU has assumed – to train qualified staff to fill in the 160,000 in the tourism cluster, referring to which Christian Daujat said "You are facing huge challenges. However, there are also huge opportunities”.

The Swiss delegation expressed high opinion of the tourism cluster being developed as well as of NCFU’s potential in training.
