NCFU rector had a meeting with Olympic volunteers

Rector Alina Levitskaya, First Pro-Rector Dmitry Sumskoy and Pro-Rector for Academic Affairs Valentin Shipulin had a meeting with the NCFU students who volunteered at the XXII Paralympics in Sochi.

52 students represented the NCFU at this great event helping both sportsmen and fans from many countries both at the Olympics and Paralympics. Alina Levitskaya expressed huge thanks to all the volunteers mentioning that their contribution got high appraisal from President Vladimir Putin as well.

- This was a huge responsibility, tough conditions and hard work, and you managed that task greatly. Please, think about bringing these Olympics spirits inot the NCFU, and we, the administration and the teaching staff, will always support all your initiatives, - NCFU Rector was quoted as saying.

When speaking on behalf of the volunteer body, Natalia Tumanova (Oil & Gas Institute, student) thanked the University for the support and told about the work the volunteers were involved in, and about the new friends from England, Latvia, France, and many more foreign places.

At the end of the meeting the volunteers presented the Rector with a special gift – toy-animals that were the symbols of the Olympics in Sochi and gave her a special badge, which is a symbol of volunteer movement.
