The NCFU Rector Alina Levitskaya had a meeting with the students who won the Vladimir Potanin Charity Foundation Scholarships. This year the NCFU has more winners than any other University in South Russia.

The brightest winners of various contests were invited to the event held at the Scientific Council Hall. The first ones to get their share of glory were the seven Master’s students who went successfully through the contest, while another seven students received their scholarships after a tough selection held by a Committee from the Moscow Lomonosov State University. Seven out of the nine contestants representing the North Caucasus were the NCFU students, which is a proof to the high level of training offered here.

At the meeting Rector Alina Levitskaya expressed her gratitude to the winners wishing them further success in their activities.

Also there were quite many students from the Institute for Humanities majoring in Journalism. These students were successful at various national contests (two of their works won 1st and 2nd Degree Certificates in the nomination of My University at the Festival-Contest of TV Art among students of technical universities). One of the winners – Oksana Bocharova (1st year, Master’s; Multimedia Journalism) got from Rector a certificate to attend a special training course at the Moscow Academy for Mediaindustry.

At the XII Russian Universities Festival AD GALLERY freshmen of the Institute for Humanities took 2nd place (nomination – Audio-Advertisement). All these students, too, received flowers and certificates from Rector Alina Levitskaya.

Apart from students there were congratulations for teachers as well, and while praising those who got their scientific degree Alina Levitskaya mentioned that the 77% of the NCFU staff hold a high scientific postgraduate degree, while the minimum limit is 60%. And even though by the number of Candidates and Doctors of Sciences the NCFU is far ahead of other federal universities of Russia there is still a long way to go – sky is the limit!
