Summer grants of Institute of Information Technologies and Telecommunications

Postgraduate student of Institute of Information Technologies and Telecommunications of NCFU Vladimir Voronkin has been awarded the grant for participation in the international summer school "ICCL Summer School 2013” that will be held in Dresden (Germany) in the last decade of August. The theme of the summer school is "The Semantic Web – Ontologic languages and their usage”.

The participants of scientific and educational events are students, postgraduate students and researchers from all over the world. The summer school is devoted to the semantic web, very dynamic and actual research area that is oriented on usage of the information from a world wide web by intelligent applied systems. The chairmen of the school are famous German scientists: Steffen Helldobler and Pascal Hitzler.

"I am very glad, because I have an opportunity to gain new knowledge, to get acquainted with the European outstanding scientists, to establish business relations”, – Vladimir noted. – I work with columns, hierarchical data. I investigate the problems connected with their storage and processing. Such event will be very useful for my researches”.

More than thirty lectures will be given to the listeners for two weeks of the summer school. The representatives of many known universities will be speakers of the school: Dresden University of Technology (Germany), University of Oxford (Great Britain), University of California (the USA) and also other universities of the USA, Germany, Portugal and Austria.
