Date of material placement: 27-05-2013, 14:51.

The students of North-Caucasus Federal University returned from the All-Russian festival called "The Russian Student Spring-2013”. They brought not only a lot of positive emotions from Ulyanovsk, but also three awards. The regional programme of the delegation from Stavropol region consisting of NCFU representatives 80 percent was recognized as one of the best in the country and took the second place of honour. Two creative teams of the university, "Vertical” circus art studio and "Extreme” sport dance studio became the 2nd and 3rd degree laureates of the festival.

- We were taking part in two nominations: an original genre and dancing competition. Of course, we were trying to show everything we could do. We have been preparing for a long time and rehearsed a lot. That’s why we had no doubts about our victory. The students performed very well and as a result took the third place in a variety genre, - director of "Extreme” sport dance studio, Olga Zakharova shared her impressions.

The artists changed their regional program at the very last moment. "Arriving to Ulyanovsk we decided to change the end of our performance. Certainly, it was quite risky. It is almost impossible to win this nomination. Before the festival the chairman of the jury in this nomination, Gennady Dadamyan was asked what one needed to show to win the competition and he answered: "Just surprise the jury”. Despite the excitement our delegation managed to do it”, - the director of "Smile” dance studio Elena Titarenko noted.

But the students do not want to stop at what has already been achieved. "Participation in such festival is the opportunity not only to show ourselves, but also to look at other teams, to get any other interesting ideas for the future. We plan to work hard and win the first place next year. We want to bring "Student Spring” to our native city, Stavropol”, - the soloist of "Cossack freedom” folk dance ensemble, Boris Kartapov emphasized.

First Pro-Rector of NCFU Dmitri Sumskoy congratulated young artists right after their arrival: "It is quite expected success because NCFU has excellent student government and amateur performances. We are very glad that there are such students, real professionals at our university. Thank you for it. We hope our teams will grow and develop further, and number of awards will also grow.” Dmitri Sumskoy also emphasized that the current task of the university is to provide young talents with all conditions for development of their creative potential: "We have no other options because you deserve to appear on the best stages and have the best equipment.”

Pro-Rector for Educational Activities of NCFU Vladimir Magin also congratulated the students: "I don’t know any other institution of higher education that has a lot of good, strong, absolutely not indifferent, talented teams. Our task is not only to keep them, but also to increase their quantity.”

Now our students can relax. They will have summer and tourist trips presented by the management of the university for their successful creative activity. Though real artists create always and everywhere. So one cannot do anything without dancing, songs and creative ideas on vacation.
