I Forum of Young Journalists and Bloggers of the Southern Part of Russia "Media format” started its work at North-Caucasus Federal University. This is a great event attracted several hundreds of young "wordsmiths” at NCFU, including student and youth delegations from Karachai-Cherkess, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya, Ingushetia, North Ossetia, Dagestan, South Ossetia, Rostov Region and Stavropol Region.

The Head of Federal Agency for the Youth Sergei Belokonev, the member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Azamat Tlisov, the correspondent of "Literary newspaper” and the prize winner of "Runet Blog” Edward Chesnokov, the secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia Roman Serebryany, the chairman of Committee on Professional Education of the Russian Association for Public Relations Alexander Chumikov and many others were among the guests of honor, moderators and experts of the Forum.

North-Caucasus Federal University (Department for Youth Policy, Student Associations and Initiatives) together with Federal Agency for the Youth were organizers of the Forum.

Alina Levitskaya welcomed young bloggers and journalists at the opening of the Forum. She wished them good luck and emphasized that perception and understanding of people from the North Caucasus in other regions of Russia depends on the youth. Young people are responsible for the future, for the information field that they are creating at this moment. Therefore the most important thing is that their thoughts should be mature and honest.

The Head of Federal Agency for the Youth Sergei Belokonev wished the participants to have fruitful work at the Forum, having noted importance and necessity of such projects.

Experts of the Forum welcomed the youth too. They briefly told about themselves and announced their lectures. Each of them promised to provide useful information as much as possible and share secret skills with the prospective or current "word masters”.

The Forum will work for two days. Its educational programme includes four sections "Journalism”, "Blogosphere”, "PR technologies and promotion in social networks” and "Photo reportage”. Work in sections is trainings, master class, lectures, creative tasks on such subjects as "Social networks as the environment for personal promotion”, "How to become a popular blogger. Corporate blogging.”, "Values of creation in mass media. Information standard of value oriented texts.” and dozens of interesting subjects. In other words, all that is interesting and useful for each young, creative and brave advertiser, blogger and journalist.

The orientation and quantity of participants of the Forum make it be the first great educational platform in the region for free communication between young journalists from the southern part of Russia. It will let create favorable conditions for exchange of positive experience in mass communication and realization of joint media projects in the information space of the southern part of Russia: the issue of creation of uniform youth media space in the southern part of the country in a form of the youth student television will be considered.

As a result of the event working groups of young journalists and bloggers of the southern part of Russia will be formed to perform joint activity in mass media design. The best projects developed at the Forum will be recommended for selection at the All-Russian Youth Forum "Seliger-2013”, the All-Caucasus Youth Forum "Mashuk-2013”. The best participants of the Forum will be able to get recommendation from the organizers of the event to undertake an internship in federal mass media.
