Vladimir Alminderov, President of "Glyuon” International Intellectual Club, which organizes this Olympics, was giving the certificates.

The final of the Olympics will take place in Warsaw in June under support of the Ministry for Education of Poland. Russia which is one of ten participating countries, will be represented by three national teams from Moscow, Yakutia  and Stavropol. Each team consists of 5 people.

There were several stages of the preparatory work with children. 148 pupils at the age of 14-18 years from towns and villages of Stavropol region took part in the correspondence regional tournament of the Olympics. Five winners of the first stage were competing in the last face-to-face tournament.

During a week five pupils and their accompanying persons had been living and preparing for the final contest at the NCFU Lyceum for gifted children. The President of "Glyuon” International Intellectual Club, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor of MSU Vladimir Alminderov and the Leading Scientist of Federal State Scientific Institution "Institute of Educational Components and Methods” of Russian Academy of Education, Moscow Victoria Samkova gave master classes and interesting Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Ecology lessons. As a result of the last regional Olympics Vladimir Pavlov became the best, Gleb Ostrikov took the second place, Kristina Zolotykh took the third place, Valeria Kuznetsova took the forth place and Alina Topilina became the last. The pupils thanked all those who had provided them with the opportunity to find new abilities and understand that they could do more than they had thought. They are waiting for new knowledge and new contacts from their trip to Poland (none of them had ever been abroad).

The mother of one of the winners, Joan Ostrikova thanked everybody who had done so much in their children’s lives and helped them to understand that they were like other children and even better.

Vladimir Alminderov noted some of the objectives of the Olympics: to start the mechanism of creative development of children and protect them from "intellectual washing-out” in school education process.

- Any work with children is very important. It is our intellectual and creative potential. Challenges of the 21st century are challenges to the human mind. Especially it is important with disabled people. Any intellectual development is an intellectual effort. It is like sports: one needs to set the high standard for a child, but this standard should be achieved. The task of the Olympics is to raise the standard.
