The meeting between First Pro-Rector Dmitri Sumskoy and NCFU students, who undertook the internship in Europe on "Erasmus Mundus” academic mobility programme, was held in the scientific library of NCFU. Director of Institute of Construction, Transport and Engineering Andrei Bratsikhin, Chief of Department for International Cooperation Lyudmila Aliyeva, Head of Department for Information and Public Relations Liliya Grigorova and Leading Specialist of Department for International Projects and Programmes Alla Kondrasheva also took part in the meeting.

For several months the students had been undertaking the internship at the best universities of Italy, Portugal, Germany and Poland. They told about the competition they had successfully passed on "Erasmus Mundus” programme, about educational system in the European institutions of higher education, where students had their own timetable and choose the subjects for studying. "We are grateful for opportunity to visit Europe. We used our language skills and now we are able to speak a foreign language. We also got new knowledge and made a lot of friends”, students shared their impressions.

Andrei Bratsikhin told about his 3-month internship at Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland.

Dmitri Sumskoy emphasized that all institutions of higher education in the Russian Federation, including North-Caucasus Federal University, had the important task to change approaches to the educational methods to make the studying be practice oriented: "We should attract teachers from foreign universities who will be able to come here and give lectures. We should also provide our teachers with the opportunity to study at other institutions of higher education”. First Pro-Rector added that at that moment NCFU was holding negotiations with some foreign universities on realization of joint master’s programmes.

At the end of the meeting Dmitri Sumskoy noted that many people knew nothing about academic mobility. So he asked the students to share their experience with their friends, groupmates and colleagues: "You could see all the opportunities. You are always moving forward. Keep yourselves informed about programmes you know, take part in competitions and we will help you”.
